His\/her responsibility is similar to a regular conference session:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check with each speaker, before the session, if he\/she will present live or using his\/her pre-recorded video.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Login Time:<\/strong> <strong><em>15 min<\/em><\/strong> before session time<\/li>\n<li>Connect to the Web App <a id=\"whova-buttonlink\" style=\"background-color: #2dacee; padding: 4px; border-radius: 5px; color: #fff; font-size: 12px;\" title=\"Event management software\" href=\"https:\/\/whova.com\/portal\/webapp\/icin_202103\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ICIN 2021 Whova Web App<\/a> with your account.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/whova.com\/portal\/webapp\/icin_202103\/Agenda\">Whova Program page<\/a> and search for the session that you will be chairing and responsible of.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>View Live Stream<\/strong> to access the Webex room, each session will have a single Webex meet.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce the author and paper during the designated presentation time slot<\/li>\n<li>Will be given \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>host<\/strong><\/span>\u201d and \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges at first<\/li>\n<li>Gives \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges to each Author\/Speaker when it is their time to begin their presentation <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>only if it will be a live presentation<\/strong><\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li>If necessary, the session chair can designate specific users as presenters and enable them to share their screen during the course of the meeting by right-clicking the user and selecting <strong>Change Role To<\/strong> and then selecting <strong><strong> Presenter.<\/strong><\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 1px solid black; align: baseline; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/present2.png\" width=\"400\" hspace=\"\" height=\"210\" border=\"1\" align=\"bottom\">\n<ul>\n<li>Users with \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges will have the Cisco Webex logo next to their photo icon<img style=\"border: 1px solid black; align: baseline; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/presenter.png\" alt=\"\" align=\"bottom\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Reclaims \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges between presentations, in case there was a live presentation<\/li>\n<li>If the presenter chooses to use the recorded video uploaded on Whova, the session chair, with <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>both<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>his \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>host<\/strong><\/span>\u201d and \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges, will take control and launch the video.\n<ul>\n<li>Please note that sharing content can only be done with \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges, that&#8217;s why you should have both (host &amp; presenter) privileges to launch the video.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is mandatory when launching the video, that the session chair, with <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>both<\/em> <\/strong><\/span>his \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>host<\/strong><\/span>\u201d and \u201c<strong>presenter<\/strong>\u201d privileges, shares <strong><strong><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">his entire screen (not only the browser) and makes sure that the option &#8220;Optimize for motion and video&#8221; is checked with computer audio also. (click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CexaPP0HtSA\">here<\/a> for video instructions) <\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><img style=\"align: baseline;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/sahreWebex.png\" width=\"404\" align=\"bottom\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Reads the questions to the presenting author during the question-answer time slot.<\/li>\n<li>Makes sure the Participants panel is always open by clicking the <strong>Participants<\/strong> icon on the main screen.<img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"align: baseline;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/participants2.png\" width=\"404\" height=\"66\" align=\"bottom\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>During the call and in case a participant is disruptive, there are several actions the Session chair can take. These are available by right-clicking on the user in the participant panel. The key ones are <strong>Mute<\/strong>, <strong>Stop Video<\/strong>, and in extreme cases <strong>Expel<\/strong> the participant.<img style=\"border: 1px solid black; align: baseline; border-width: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/options.png\" width=\"297\" border=\"1\" align=\"bottom\"><\/li>\n<li>Session chair can also Mute specific people by going to the Participants panel, searching for their name, and selecting Mute <img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"align: baseline;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/unmute.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" align=\"bottom\"> or Unmute <img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"align: baseline;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/mute.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"32\" height=\"31\" align=\"bottom\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 1px solid black; align: baseline; border-width: 1px;\" tabindex=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icin-conference.org\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/muteParticipants.png\" width=\"350\" vspace=\"\" hspace=\"\" height=\"328\" border=\"1\" align=\"bottom\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Concludes the session (returns host privileges to the organizer) and checks attendance\n<ul>\n<li>Session Chair <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>does not<\/strong><\/em><\/span> give anyone else host privileges during session time;
