It is expected that the 6G networks will be deployed by 2030. The initial use case, requirements (including fundamental ITU-R document), and 6G enablers have already progressed, and initial evaluations have been conducted. It should be noted that some of the 6G topics have already been included in the 5G standardisation agenda (e.g. NTN or AI use). In the meantime, the operators, in numerous white papers, have expressed their realistic, business-oriented expectations, and new requirements, such as network resilience and dual-use-capable solutions, have been added to the requirements list. In the talk, the revised expectations from the user and operator perspectives, related use cases, and lessons learnt from running EU projects will be presented.
