Authors Instructions – Final paper submission

Important dates
Camera-ready upload and copyright form must be completed by:

  • January 5, 2023 for Full and Short papers
  • February 2, 2023 for Demo papers

If you have received a paper acceptance email from the TPC co-chairs, please use these author instructions to prepare your final camera-ready paper.
Please make sure that reviewers comments are duly addressed in preparing the camera-ready version of your paper.
Papers must be written with minimum of 10-point font and must use standard IEEE two-column conference templates that can be downloaded from: IEEE Templates.

For IEEEtran class in LaTeX, use the following as the first line in your LaTeX source file:
\documentclass[10pt, conference]{IEEEtran}.

Formatting checks are enforced in the submission phase for final manuscripts. Please allow extra time to fix any formatting errors and use PDF eXpress to generate a compliant file.

Do NOT add any page numbering, header or footer (other than the copyright info discussed below).

Please follow the 3 steps to finalize your camera-ready paper: submission

1. IEEE e-copyright form

Authors of accepted papers must complete the IEEE eCopyright Form. One copyright form is required for each accepted paper.

The electronic copyright form can be accessed via EDAS (http://edas.info) by selecting the “My Papers” tab, then selecting the paper title, and finally clicking on the “+” sign corresponding to the “copyright form” field. This will walk you through a series of steps. Make sure that the title/author list is EXACTLY as in your final camera-ready paper.

2. IEEE PDF eXpress

Authors are required to use IEEE PDF eXpress to check if their final PDF file is Xplore-compliant. Papers that are not compliant will not be included in the proceedings nor published.

The PDF eXpress site can also be used to convert source files into an IEEE Xplore-compliant PDF file (e.g., for LaTeX users, create a ZIP file that includes DVI and EPS figure files altogether, and then upload the ZIP file for the system to convert into a compliant PDF file; for MS Word users, upload the Word file and let it convert and return a compliant PDF file).

  • Go to IEEE PDF eXpress Website:  https://ieee-pdf-express.org/
  • Create an IEEE PDF eXpress account (use conference ID: 60470X)
  • Use ‘new user’ if you haven’t used this site before
  • Continue to enter information as prompted

The validated PDF obtained from PDF eXpress is the file that you must upload as a final version. It includes a label in the PDF metadata that certifies the compatibility with IEEE Xplore.

3. Camera-ready paper upload

The final paper should be uploaded via EDAS (http://edas.info) by selecting the “My Papers” tab, then selecting the paper title.

Please double-check the information that you provided during submission, including the title of the paper, abstract, name, affiliation, and e-mail address of the authors.

Please list Authors in order of authorship. Be aware that, in accordance with publications standards, you cannot add or remove any co-author at this stage.

Upload the validated PDF eXpress file obtained in the previous steps as Final Manuscript.

Important Information

At least one author is required to register, at the AUTHOR rate, to present accepted papers at the conference and for the paper to appear in the proceedings. The IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

Papers are of the following types:

  • Full papers: up to 8 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
  • Short papers: up to 5 pages, including tables, figures, and references (full papers accepted as short papers will be required to be reduced to 5-pages in length).
  • Demo papers: 3 pages, including tables, figures, and references.
  • Workshops papers: up to 6 pages (NESTOR), 8 pages (6GN), including tables, figures, and references.

Papers should not contain any plagiarized material, nor have been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and the IEEE Communications Society will take action against any author who has been engaged in either practice.

Please see the IEEE Web Page on Plagiarism and the IEEE Web Page on Double Submission.
