Ad hoc networks therefore have the potential to become an important component of future 5G-Advanced, 6G, and beyond-6G infrastructures, enabling flexible connectivity and service delivery in environments where conventional network infrastructures are unavailable, insufficient, or need to be complemented dynamically. At the same time, Artificial Intelligence, edge computing, Network Digital Twins, programmable networks, and network softwarization are creating new opportunities to rethink the operation of ad hoc networks. Future ad hoc networks will not only need to establish connectivity. They will need to autonomously discover available communication and computing capabilities, allocate resources, deploy services, adapt topology and routing, coordinate distributed intelligence, and react to changing network and application conditions. The <strong>Intelligent Ad Hoc Networks for Future Connectivity (IAHN 2027)<\/strong> workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the convergence of ad hoc networking, AI-native network control, edge computing, and autonomous network and service management. The workshop particularly welcomes research addressing how intelligence can enable the <strong>formation, operation, orchestration, and optimization of ad hoc network infrastructures<\/strong> for future connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Topics of interest include,\u00a0but are not limited to:<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Autonomous ad hoc network formation and management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intelligent routing and topology control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flying Ad Hoc Networks and UAV networking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks and V2X<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wireless mesh and device-to-device networking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ad hoc networks for 5G-Advanced and 6G<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terrestrial and non-terrestrial network integration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edge and far-edge computing over ad hoc networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distributed computing and computation offloading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Distributed and collaborative intelligence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federated learning in ad hoc environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reinforcement learning and multi-agent control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Network Digital Twins for ad hoc networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI-driven network and service orchestration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prototypes, demonstrations, and real-world deployments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automated infrastructure and capability discovery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dynamic service placement and service chaining<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application-aware resource management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>QoS\/QoE management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Network resilience and self-healing mechanisms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security, trust, and privacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Energy-efficient ad hoc networking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobility-aware network management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency and disaster-response networking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connectivity for remote and underserved areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experimental platforms and testbeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Papers Submission<\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished contributions that are not under review elsewhere. All submissions must be written in English and use the standard IEEE two-column conference template.
